On May 8th a new Star Trek Movie, to say I had low expectations was an understatement. I though it would end up like the parody of 20 some things in episode 200 of Stargate SG1.
I also thought that I would not be able to see past some of the actors prior rolls. Well all that being said, I still really enjoyed the movie.

The movies had differences from the beginning that had me wondering how much they were going to change the over all story. Half way through the movie you find out that the time line was altered from what we know. From what I took away from the movie, this is a different universe. I think they did this so that they can continue to produce comics and books based on the previous series with out people questioning the continuity.
The actors playing each of the characters were great. The only one that seamed weird was Chekov, the voice and attitude seamed off. Kirk and Scotty were great.
I give this movie an 8 out of 10. I recommend any one that enjoyed any of the Star Trek series seeing this.
